Today Geoffrey Neale of Texas was elected Chairman for the National Libertarian Party at its nominating convention in Las Vegas.
Geoff Neale, a software architect, also served as Chairman for the party from 2002 to 2004. He served five terms on the Libertarian National Committee and is a former Chairman for the Libertarian Party of Texas.

Jim Gray, retired Superior Court Judge from Orange County who served over 20 years on the bench, was selected by delegates as the Libertarian Vice Presidential nominee. Gray previously ran as the 2004 Libertarian U.S. Senate candidate in California. Go to http://www.garyjohnson2012.com/ to volunteer for the campaign.

In a first-round ballot at the Libertarian National Convention, former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson, won the Libertarian Presidential nomination. In another first-round ballot, California’s Judge Jim Gray was chosen as the Libertarian Vice Presidential nominee. C-SPAN is covering the convention live and business resumes tomorrow with Party officer, at-large, and Judicial Committee elections.

With the first two days of business sessions now complete, attention turns to the Libertarian Presidential nomination. R. Lee Wrights and former Governor Gary Johnson are the only candidates chosen by convention delegates to participate in the final debate. Watch the video online.
